Public input needed for space at Pomeroy Sports Centre

JOHN, B.C. — The City is looking for input from residents on what should be done with spaces in the Pomeroy Sports Centre.On Wednesday, March 16, people will be able to come to a meeting from 7 to 8 p.m. at the Pomeroy Sports Centre, in the Training Room/Gym to share their thoughts.“We have this space available, and we just wanted to put it out to the community, and see what the community wants to do with it,” said Recreation Manager, Kylah Bryde, with the City of Fort St. John. “Nothing will be set in stone at this meeting, it’s just more of a consult of where to go with this.”- Advertisement -Bryde said the City will be offering fair and equitable use of the spaces, and exploring a variety of options.“Afterwards, if no one wants its, then we’d look at exclusive use,” she said.The space has recently been used by PacificSport for performance sports, and Bryde said the Energetic Learning Campus uses it as a training space.Advertisementlast_img read more
